For the last 3 days, my ThinkOrSwim app "could not connect to the internet".
Yesterday, they patched servers for ThinkOrSwim. I think they may have applied the patch that allows a worm on the DNS server.
Today, I still could not open ThinkOrSwim. My internet was super slow when connecting to FB, Youtube, etc. Kept seeing the message "resolving DNS host".
I have Windows 10. After doing these two things, my computer is really fast and I can now open ThinkOrSwim in a snap.
1) I noticed dropbox was executing in Task Manager. Since I no longer use it, I uninsalled the dropbox program in the control panel programs.
2) I checked for Windows updates. There was a new one since yesterday (8/18/2020). I applied this update and rebooted.
My internet is now working really fast.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly try excluding the Thineorswim.exe to firewall exlcusion and try again.
