Theh maybe your McAfee installation has become corrupted, it happens.

Uninstall McAfee SecurityCenter via Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a Program

Then run the MCPR removal tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page.

Then go to your online account and download/install your software.

Which version of VSE are you using? Please post the screenshot of the message you are getting.

That's the home product.  Not sure why that strange inscription has been added in what would normally be a blank space.

I do know that McAfee SecurityCenter relies on Internet Explorer for display and functionality, regardless of your choice of default browser, so may I ask is Internet Explorer up to date and set to default settings (important)?   If you have any version of it that is less than the final IE9 (final release RTM version), please uninstall via Control Panel (or sometimes it may be listed in Installed Updates in Windows Update) and then install IE9 from Microsoft's website.

Also if you have run any registry cleaners lately, is there an undo feature?

.
