Subscription renewal issues

Jump to solution

My account has been renewed but I am still getting "You're not protected" alerts and there's a nasty red X on my McAfee logo in my toolbar. I've right clicked and verified my subscription 3 times to no avail. Where do I go from here.

Hi,

McAfee recommends removing McAfee security products before proceeding using Microsoft System Restore, then reinstalling your McAfee product afterwards.

1. Download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool from: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe
2. When the removal tool completes, restart your computer.
3. Reinstall McAfee Security products by logging into My Account at: http://www.mcafee.com.
4. Restart your computer.

This would solve you issue.

Hi,

Could you post me with the error message you get underneath the fix button , so that we could help you accordingly.

Alongside, provide some information about the computer like;
What is the operating system ?
Have you done any recent changes for the computer ? (Like system restore)

note : moving this thread to security center 9.0-2009

Thanks,

All it says under FIX is Your subscription has expired. I've already had it verified through cutomer service that my subscription has been renewed and is good until Nov 22, 2010.

I'm running Vista on a Toshiba Satellite x205-s9800.

I had to do a system restore last month(Nov 09) due to an issue with a program (COD MW2) shutting my computer down whenever it ran.
