I'm facing slow network write issue, less than 200KB/s... After i uninstall antivirus plus 2010, the speed jump back to 50MB/s
Do it need to tweak any firewall setting to fix the issue? Any idea how to fix the problem....

Could you please confirm whether you use the enterprise version of Mcafee or the home version ? ;
I am having the exact same issue: very slow writing performance to all network drives.
Diabling firewall and on-demand scan has no effect -- writing is stil slow.
Uninstalling McAfee solves the problem.
Problem re-appears after re-installing McAfee.
McAfee AntiVirus Plus
McAfee Security Center version 10.0 build 10.0.570
McAfee VirusScan version 14.0, build 14.0.306
McAfee Personal Firewall version 11.0 build 11.0.378
McAfee Virtual Technician gives a clean bill of health.
...Clarification: slow writing issue appears to affects all network drives -- regardless of where they are hosted: Windows XP, 2000, or NAS.
I'm using home version of 3 User McAfee Antivirus Plus 2010 for my home desktop and laptop. Thank.
i'm having the exact same problem.
mcafee installed - slow writes
mcafee uninstalled - normal writes

I have read elsewhere that this problem has been known for several weeks (one post I saw was dated late March). A recent post suggests that a bug fix is due tomorrow (Monday).

today's update as was mentioned by tech support, for MF TP Security Center 10/VS 14 did not alleviate the problem sadly.
i neglected to mentioned that im not using a NAS, but merely a 'normal' windows share on another computer. same problem otherwise
interrestingly, if i reinstall but only chose AV and not MF Firewall the problem remains. so no firewall in other words, including no Windows firewall.
makes me think its something in either the scanner or that new Traffic Monitor thing in TP
Im not sure what FreeNAS is but I'm having the same problem with a IOMEGA Network Drive. I have a laptop running Windows 7 and a desktop with Vista Ultimate, both running Mcafee Total Protection. When uploading to my drive I can only get 75KBps which is unacceptable. So after looking all over and finding lots of people with the same problem it's evident that Mcafee Firewall is blocking the data transfer somehow. The only thing that has worked for me it's disabling the firewall then unplugging and plugging back in the netwok cable. Guess what I got? 8MBps tranfers! So if anybody at Mcafee even bothers reading theses posts please make sure to implement a fix on your next release because it makes no sense paying for software that you have to disable in order to fully use your hardware.
