My Real Time Scanning keeps turning off. If I go into my Security window, I click through to turn Real Time Scanning on. It blinks on for a second and turns back off.
I'm on a Lenovo with Windows 7.
I've tried un-installing and re-intalling McAfee.
I've tried the McAfee Virtual Technician. It says I have 31 Registry key(s) incorrect and it won't fix my problem. (There were only 17 registry keys incorrect before reinstalling)
What do I do now?
Moved this to VirusScan as the best spot for it.
Your best bet is probably to ask Technical Support, link below, it's free by phone or online chat.
However first make sure that your system is absolutely and totally up to date in all regards, meaning it's Windows 7 SP1 and Internet Explorer is version 11.
You may not even use IE but McAfee does so it's important that it's up to date.
Also make sure that such things as Java, Adobe Reader, Shockwave and Flash players are up to date.
A question, have you been using any registry cleaners lately? These can often cause more trouble than they are worth.
If you have, see if it has a restore button.
