brand new to this forum. I have McAfee All Access by way of being a Spectrum Cable subscriber. I recently bulit a new PC with a MSI Z370-A PRO motherboard. One of the utility software products was flagged by McAfee when I was updating. This one item is the only one flagged out of 3-5 utilties that I was updating. It's their Command Center utility.
I went to a community forum on MSI and it was suggested that it was a false positive, but that was not from a MSI rep, but forum moderator. I got an 'official' response from MSI just awhile ago to disable McAfee temporarily to install. I really don't like doing that if I can help it.
I've been around circles with Spectrum trying to figure this out and I lucked up and found this McAfee forum. So my question is can I report this file here and have McAfee check it out and give it a thumbs up or down?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can definitely submit the file for review provided the size of executable is less than 10 MB. See the article https://service.mcafee.com/webcenter/portal/cp/home/articleview?articleId=TS102053 for detailed steps.
thanks selvan for your reply,
however the file in question is about 70-76 MB in size. I can chop it into about 7, 10 MB pieces so it can be analyzed. Will that work?

Are all these chopped parts an executable? (.exe file extension) If so then it should work. Ensure to zip them in a password protected archive so that mail servers doesn't rip them during scans.
