Re: McAfee ScriptScan has been blocked by Firefox

It may be true that it's not all McAfee's fault, but there have been several problems with the security suite in the past 18 months or so. One of them was an error message on shutdown that took several months to fix, so I'm a little jaded at this point.

To be completely candid, I don't see any Symantec or Norton products on the Mozilla block list, going back to 2008.

I agree.  Also, I do have Norton running on my HP laptop since it was already installed when I purchased it.  I haven't had any issues with it although I don't like the interface as much as McAfee's.  Perhaps it's because I'm more used to the latter as I've been using it for many years on various PCs.  In any case, I'm happy with Norton for now and decided to pay for it to extend its operation rather than uninstalling it and buying yet another McAfee licence.  It goes without saying that if McAfee develops some serious problems on my new PC I will have little hesitation in dumping it and moving to Norton.  I much prefer to stay with McAfee but virus detection software is too important to be treated lightly.

I understand your sentiments, believe me.
