After using a trial version of AVP, I recently purchased a copy and installed it successfully on my laptop. However, after two days the upgrade disappeared and I had to install it again. The same thing happened and after four re-installs I am getting a bit fed up. I checked my credit card and the software has been paid for. I have emailed McAfee and waiting for a response. Any ideas out there as to what the problem could be?
Have you been using any other security products at the same time, or employing System Restore or even registry cleaners? All of those can cause problems with the software.
Also what is your operating system and service pack?
Try uninstalling anything 'McAfee' via Control Panel/Programs/Uninstall a Program (Add or Remove Programs in XP)
Then run the MCPR cleanup tool listed under Useful Links at the top of this page. Reboot.
