How do I see what viruses were removed?

Jump to solution

Yesterday I uninstalled Symantec Endpoint Protection, immediately installed McAfee Antivirus Plus, and ran a full scan. Today I checked the results and, to my surprise, McAfee "detected and removed [18] viruses and spyware". I believe some of these may be false-positives, so I would like to see which files were deleted. I've looked through the help file which instructs me to click on things that I could not locate in the GUI, which I went through thoroughly. I also performed several google searches with negative results. How can I check which files were deleted?

Moved this to VirusScan for better attention.

Double-click the tskbar icon to open SecurityCenter

Click Navigation at top right

Click Quarantined and Trusted Items (scroll down)

Click the areas there to expand them.

If some items were falsely identified I made a quick guide on what to do here:  https://community.mcafee.com/thread/2016

Ahh, that did it. It looks like Mcafee doesn't like the Dwarf Fortress Lazy Newb Pack, or metasploit. Thanks!
