Can't activate my scan engine, need help pc is at risk...

Just downloaded the McAfee Antivirus Plus en the scan engine will not run, so my pc is at risk.

What to do.

I am also having the same problem just now updated the latest update of mcafee and the issue started to happen. The real time scan gets turned off

Also can both of you confirm what version of security centre and virusscan you have?

Yetserday it showed me that latest version of Mcafee is updated and requires a restart so i did a restart of my computer and the issue started to happen.

I have a windows 7 OS - Lenovo Ideapad.

I went to the online communities and saw this issue is happening for many persons tried all the suggestions and no improvement at all. This issue happened because of recent update of Mcafee.

running MVT in item 3 in that link failed to help?

Now the old version above is strange  10.5 was stable best thing is it what suggested in the link I posted. If that fails is uninstall reinstall as per

reboot and reinstall from your account. If that refails and not normal to do so start a tech support chat link.
