I'm not the right person to ask. I'm merely a Moderator here and not knowledgeable of this product. The person in post #8 on page 1 should know.
Hi Ex_Brit and All,
As we all aware by -
1. Going back to Patch 2 from Patch 4
2. Disabling BOP on Patch 4
3. Exclusion for trusted Process (Microsoft Office, Explorer.exe, IExplore.exe)
4. Patched all Unpatched Microsoft Office software (Not 100% sure about this)
5. Replacing vscan.bof (\Program files\McAfee\VSE) from the machine where BOP DAT is updated to other machine. Rebooting the machine may be needed. (Not Tried yet so not sure about this)
will help to stop BOP error. but still we need any Future BOP DAT which help to clear all issues.
Currently I am facing this issue, I suggested below for my users lets see what is the result and will make sure to update it here.
We found that cleaning all cache files takes care of both IE Explore and explore. IE Explore must be at version 9. Most of the fix is updating IE Explore but the stubborn ones require a cleaning. Windows Explore requires a good cleaning. If you using older or unpatched Microsoft Office software then you will get this kind of Alerts. So request you to update your MS Office software.
Cleaning:
C:\windows\temp
C:\users\ID\AppData\local\TEMP
C:\users\ID\AppData\local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\delete all folders in this section. (obviously if they are using the system some wont remove and thats ok)
C:\Users\ID\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Low\Content.IE5
C:\Users\ID\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies

Hi Tushar,
This has worked for the vast majority of our systems. We currently have 3 computers out of about 9000 that randomly get the BO for IExplore. Once it gets it, it does not stop and it prevents our user from accessing a website she has to work with for billing purposes. ( we want our paychecks.. lol)
This is striclty for IE and explore. We have excluded Excel and Acess because we have old versions we have to keep for the time being
We continuously have to re-image her system to get a couple hours of use before it crashes again with that website. We have McAfee support working with us to deal with this. We are unable to exlcude IE as that would be a nightmareish risk to our infrastructure.
Once we have completed the testing and resolved the issue, I will post our fix here as well. Like everything, it is a process
Good luck
Sol
Hi Sol,
you said "This has worked for the vast majority of our systems."
Can you please tell us about what has worked for the vast majority of your systems? so it will help others also.

However, the posting cops don't agree and therfore removed it again. Oh well... better safe than sorry.
Well we've been plagued by p o r n merchants lately so that's probably why. All is OK again....even my response got caught...LOL
Nothing new to this issue yet?
The KB81308 doesnt really tell too much about what to do, except exclude the proccesses in BOP policies, or disable BOP.
Either solution isnt really the way out of this issue.
Anyone else experience this issue with older Java versions and resolving it by installing a never version?
Anyone getting the BO alerts with Excel.exe, Winword.exe, explorer.exe and not only iexplore.exe?
Any specific software triggering this error? We can retrigger the error by going to Functions -> Manage Add-ons in IE8
I see a the Anti-Virus Engine has been updated to version "5700". After my experience with Patch 4 you know I think I might just let others see if there are any issues with this update? I just don't have the staff or time to go through what we did with Patch 4. So as a officailly retired early adopter of software updates I wish all you brave men and women who will continue this practice a warm thank you for helping us software conservatives forward the cause...
