how to show the New McAfee secure Icon ?

guys:

i need to know how i can show the new McAfee secure icon ?

note: i use McAfee VirusScan 8.7i with anti-spy + McAfee Agent v4 + ePo v4.0,,

i know the "M" icon shows up when both McAfee VirusScan 8.7i & McAfee EPO agent installed. however, i have visited a company recently and i found out they have a new McAfee icon which it look like a shield with letter M inside, exactly the same icon in McAfee website when you visit McAfee download.

like this one, only the shield and without McAfee SECURE words:

That's McAfee Agent 4.5's icon.

Should be on general release by the end of September (if what one of the McAfee chaps told me a few weeks back is still correct).

you cant

once the beta goes into pre release the beta is removed from the beta download site, only people signed up as pre release testers get the pre release software.

you will have to wait for sep/oct release to web like everyone elase now I'm afraid

Are you sure you are not confused with the icon of McAfee Total Protection Services? That has the same icon in the systemtray.

Re: how to show the New McAfee secure Icon ?

Gentlemen,

Finally I did it ...

To show the new icon of McAfee you need to do the following:

1. Install McAfee Antivirus 8.7 with Patch2

2. Install McAfee Agent 4.5

3. If you are using ePo 4.0 then edit the setting to show McAfee agent icon on system tray

4. Enjoy...
