hello
Hello
I want to block tsetup file. This file is telegram installer
Telegram releases its installer with version. For example tsetup.1.2.6 or tsetup.1.2.5
Question1:
If I want to block this file or any file with version, which one of these commands is true?
Question2:
How can I block a download link which is containing of a name like (tsetup)?
Because a user can rename (tsetup) before download and Mcafee couldn’t do anything
thankyou
Solved! Go to Solution.
Based on your scenario and you would like to block i.e. tsetup.1.2.6, tsetup.1.2.7, etc. then you will want to create an access protection rule with the following wildcard: **\tsetup.**
This would mean that any file beginning with tsetup. will be blocked from any location
For more information on how to create an access protection rule, please see:

And general use of wildcards:

When testing access protection rules, we recommend only applying the rule to one test machine first. Test the effects of the created rule and if working as disired then apply to other machines.
For your second question, we wouldn't be able to block a download link if the user changes the name. Your access protection rule would only trigger on your specific set up. You would need to use a web gateway or potentially siteadvisor /web control to control access to the download page.
