Re: engineserver.exe memory leaks?

I have the same problem. Over time SystemEngine.exe is using 1.7GIG of RAM. I have only 2gig RAM. Anything else I can do to learn more about this? Solutions? Seems only few PC's out of 1000 have this issue at my group. Is this in any way windows issue? Or some software other then mcafee?

There is nothing amiss with the hotfix. It is available from TIer 3 Support (which will require escalation through Tier 1 and Tier 2 for Gold Support, or via a Product Specialist for Enterprise Support).

If any difficulty is encountered along the way, feel free to cite this posting

Re: engineserver.exe memory leaks?

I was on the phone with Gold support on the same day(Jun 21, 2011) and one of the Support reps. told me that the HF is not availble at this stage

Re: engineserver.exe memory leaks?

I trust you referred them to this thread and my comment, to insist on escalating further for the hotfix.

I'm not sure where this misconception has sprung from but I'll see what I can do about wiping this erroneous notion from people's minds.

Re: engineserver.exe memory leaks?

I know the procedure, this is not the firt time with McAfee on the phone for such requests, but the Support rep. directly told be that at the moment this HF is not available.

In all other cases that i had contacted McAfee for such request the case is escalated on the same day and the HF is received but not in this case.

Even case was not generated.

I hope that the HF will be available soon.

Re: engineserver.exe memory leaks?

the hotfix was deemed unaccessible for about 2 days.

KB72202 covers the current status of the hotfix's usage and give some insight into why it was 'unaccessible' for a short time.
