dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization Failed

Hi Forum

When I would like to shut down or reboot a Windows XP SP3 Client, I receive the two messagesin the Word File. We are working with VSE 8.7i, DAT 5839, Hotfix 2 and Agent 4.5.0.1270.

It seems we only have this messages on XP SP3 Clients. Windows 7 Clients aren't affected. With Hotfix 1 we didn't had this problem.

Can someone tell us what's the problem? Many thanks for your help.

Re: dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization Failed

I get the same error message on a server running WIN 2003 x64.  I thought it had to do with VSE, so I installed patch VSE870HF517265.zip, but that hasn't fixed it.

Yes I encountered the same problem after I update my McAfee to the latest version. I re-install my computer's operation system (XP sp3 for Thinkpad), while the problem is still there. I really want some professional body can help us fix it.Thanks.

Re: dwwin.exe - DLL Initialization Failed

I have a solution!

We have installed HotFix 517265 and now it works. We don't get the message any longer.
