Workstations have OAS and Access Protection Disabled

   Hi there,

I realised that I have a couple of workstations which have their OAS and Access protection disabled.

I tried the following:

Pushing a reinstallation

Uninstalling VSE and agent and re installing

I have the mcshield automatic but not started and when I try to start the service I get an error.

Did anyone come across this?

Facing exactly the same issue when i reboot the machine after installation. Modifying the registry ImagePath did not work. Could any one please advise on this issue.

VSE version is: 8.8.0.1528

Appreciate your response.

When McShield has errors of any kind, it logs relevant information to the Application Event log using "McLogEvent" type events. The event ID will be higher than 5000.

What does it say?

What's the error you get when you try to start the service?

Re: Workstations have OAS and Access Protection Disabled

did you by any chance install patch 7 recently?

I just posted a discussion yesterday on my patch 7 woes and I have the same (OAS and AP disabled)

Did anyone find a solution to this? Access Protection is disabled on one of my systems and can't get it to work even after reinstalling.
