Windows 2008 Server & McAfee

Anyone see any issues so far with installing McAfee 8.5i or 8.7i on Windows 2008 64bit version? Or even 32bit?

We are just starting to test Windows 2008 Server and we will need to test McAfee on it.

Thanks for any heads up to look for.

There may be others but a search of the forum for 64bit may help you find what you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

RE: Windows 2008 Server & McAfee

Hi Aen - We have been using Windows 2008 servers with VirusScan 8.5i in our EPO environment for a number of months. No problems so far. Just remember that you need to update up to patch 5 to ensure full Windows 2008 compatability.

And if you are in an EPO environment, note that if you install EPO Agent 4.0.0.1345 to your Windows 2008 server, you will need to update it to patch 7.

We have only just begun trialling VirusScan 8.7i on a couple of laptops so I have no feedback for that version.

Hope that helps.
