Virusscan Installer checking for Windows Defender

When trying to Install VSE 8.8 Patch 14, it is checking for Windows Defender. we have disabled Defender on our machines that get VSE. but the VSE installer is checking for the following file to determine if Defender is enabled. C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Defender\MPClient.dll when doing a silent install the installer fails with error code 1619. on running it manually we see it prompting to disable Defender ( even though it is not enabled) is there anyway we can suppress this check for Defender or Bypass it?

Re: Virusscan Installer checking for Windows Defender

We apologize for being so late in answering you.

Could you please check your WIndows Installer service issues referencing following KB article?

Error 1619: This installation package could not be opened (when you install VirusScan Enterprise locally or through ePolicy Orchestrator)

If this issue still persists, I would suggest to raise a service request with us.
