VirusScan Enterprise 8.0.0 Not updating

Update log shows:

8/11/2009 3:38:06 PM TOSHIBA-USER\Test Starting VirusScan task: AutoUpdate

8/11/2009 3:38:32 PM TOSHIBA-USER\Test Error occurred while downloading file SiteStat.xml.
8/11/2009 3:38:32 PM TOSHIBA-USER\Test Checking update packages from repository NAIFtp.
8/11/2009 3:38:33 PM TOSHIBA-USER\Test Initializing update...

I know it cannot connect to the ePo but should be able to download the new DATs anyways. It did in the past. I have tried using a superDat and that ill update it.


I am using Virus Scan Virus Def 5703 and Engine 5300 using Aug 8th superdat

Sounds like you need to update the Common Management/Framework version.. The old 3.5 version no longer is supported for automatic updating.. This particular change happened in February 2009. See the discussion link below for fixes:
