VirusScan 8.8p2 and Windows 8 not really working with ePo

we are running ePo 4.6.4(Build 202)

policies are pushed out to all of our clients.

Running Windows 8 Professional

VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 patch 2

the policies for the McAfee Agent (things like hide icon) and Policies for the VirusScan (On-Access Scanner: ENABLED) are not being applied to the client.   So on the windows 8 test machines, esentially are NOT being protected.

is it an issue with the software, or are there new settings to change because of windows 8 ??

anyone else run into this problem?

Policy is applied by the Agent.. Which version of McAfee Agent do you have installed on this client?

I had the same problem until I realized I forgot to check in the extension that came with patch 2 for VSE 8.8.  (version 208 of the extension)  When my Windows 8 machine checked for new policies it found the VSE one and applied it like normal.
