VirusScan 8.8 Scriptscan URL Whitelisting

Jump to solution

I was reading KB65382 and it details the process for whitelisting URLs within ScriptScan through registry edits. I thought that we could now whitelist (exclude) specified URLs through ePO policy. I included a screenshot of the policy setting below. Which is true?

If you are using VSE 8.8 then we can do URL whitelisting from the ePO server but if you are at previous versions like VSE 8.7 then we don't have option to whiltelist URL from the ePO server based on URLs and needs to be done from registry keys.

You can whitelist via url if you are using AV version 8.8  I just did it.   If you are running 8.7 I believe you need to do the registry settings along with whitelist.
