VirusScan 8.8 Perpetual License

Can someone please explain what the difference is, as far as a client machine is concerned whether you choose a 1 year license or a perpetual license from the installation wizard?

According to another thread on this forum, there is nothing apparent on the client, so what is actually different?

What happens after 1 year on a client machine when set to 1 year license?

Either 1 year or a perpetual license; VirusScan Enterprise does not enforce any license restrictions and no license expiration occurs.

McAfee Corporate KB - VirusScan Enterprise silent installation defaults to a one-year license period...

Thanks for that info, could you please answer my other questions?

All there is on this forum on this subject is vague answers from people skirting around direct questions.

What happens after 1 year on a client machine when set to 1 year license? Nothing happens, it will continue to receive updates - licensing on nodes is base on the honor system and will be shored up during the next renewal process.
