Wondering the best way to approach this problem. A client has 2 systems on a network that are Windows XP and Vista but ePO is going to be upgraded to 5.10. They wanted the 2 endpoints to be in a standalone state.
What would be the best way to take 2 systems with VSE on them, that are already managed in ePO, into a standalone solution with the old policies still being enforced until a change is required. Thank you!
Thank you for writing. With the concept of Standalone, Once the McAfee agent installed on those machines registered to the EPO, It would try communicating accordingly. Even if we remove the machine from the EPO, with the next Agent Server communication, the Machine would attempt communicating back to the EPO.
We might not have a designed way for it, but maybe you could try uninstalling McAfee agent and VSE from these 2 machines and then reinstall VSE once again, but we still have manually modify the respective policies to match the old ones.
