VSE Scan Does not Report Permissions Issues

I am in the process of implementing VSE CLI scans of our NAS shares(CIFS). 

Apparently, permissions on the files/folders is not always going to be what I expect it to be (for various reasons). Consequently,  the domain account I am using to perfrom the scans cannot access all of the files/folders that I want it to.

It seems that VSE's reaction to this situation is to simply ignore the problem.. it doesn't even report that a given file/folder is inaccessible. 

Is there a configuration setting I am missing that could change this behaviour?

@Schaf I do understand your concern, however I would like you to have VSES rather than VSE for this purpose.
