VSE: Is it supported to upgrade to another edition of Windows 7?

I would like to upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate from Windows 7 Professional.

Do I have to remove VSE 8.8 from my Windows 7 Professional before upgrading?

Thanx for the update. I see the KB 51189. Also need small confirmation.
Does KB 51189 mean that I need to remove VSE before upgrading to just another edition of OS?
