VSE EOL & DAT

I believe VSE is EOL and no longer supported but I am able to download the latest DAT files as of today. When McAfee is going to stop releasing DAT files for VSE?

Hello @avilt,

Thank you for writing. The V2 DATs are currently available for those McAfee products that are still supported. These V2 DATs would not be tested on those EOL products.

Will I still get DAT support after December 31, 2021?
No. After the EOL period is completed (December 31, 2021), DATs will no longer be supported on VirusScan Enterprise for Windows, Linux, or Mac. V2 DATs will be provided on a daily cadence only for customers who purchase Extended Support.

If I have a product that isn't EOL and uses V2 DATs, will I still receive DAT updates?
Yes. Customers with entitlements to products that haven’t reached EOL, such as VSES or MSME, will continue to receive access to V2 DATs until those products reach EOL.

I am using VSE 8.8 Patch 13, what's the last date I can get the DAT file for this product?

Attention VirusScan Enterprise (VSE) customers:
Please be aware that VSE is approaching End of Life (EOL) as of December 31, 2021.  All VSE customers must upgrade to Endpoint Security (ENS) 10.7 to avoid disruption to your endpoint protection. You are already entitled to ENS as part of your existing license.

Customers who want to continue to receive and use V2 DAT and engine content or technical support after December 31, 2021, must purchase extended support by that date.  Any further use of V2 DAT and engine content or technical support beyond December 31, 2021 without an extended support agreement is a violation of your license
