We have recently released an update to our Citrix Servers that updates VSE from 8.8p4 to 8.8p6. We have also moved the 18.104.22.1688 agent to current which updates the agent from 22.214.171.1240.
These updates have been released since the weekend. We are now starting to get issues with the servers – we currently know about the issue on at least 2 of our production servers - where on login the users get a pop up VirusScan tray icon box that says it has stopped working and a button to close program
Trying to open the VirusScan console produces the error pop up Viruscan Console has stopped working, again close the program button. Event 1000 application error logged for mcconsole.exe in eventvwr.
McAfee task manager fails to start - says it didnt start in a timely fashion.
Have tried rolling back the agent to 1500, doing a repair on VSE - still fails.
So far only fix has been to uninstall VSE from each of the 12 servers and to a reinstall the full patch 6 version. Got a monitor of the mcafee task manager service - expecting a few more to be broke by the morning.
