VSE 8.8 on Windows 8.1 will not install

We have two Windows 8.1 computers that will not install VSE 8.8 at all.  I have tried pushing through ePO, uninstalling the Agent and reinstalling, Installing VSE manually (received a roll back message), installing VSE first then the agent, not thing has worked.  I have also used the MFERemoval tool to uninstall and again nothing is working.  All other products can be installed just fine just VSE cannot.  If we cannot get these on the systems they will have to be removed from the network.

Applying VSE 8.8 patch 10 fixed this issue.  In addition to I had to remove the Agent with the removal tool and re-install it in order to see the products on the ePO server.

Thank you for following up with the solution that worked. There are changes related to the installer as of Patch 10.
