I'm having issues with getting the VSE to display 5700.7163 in the About Menu. I did the upgrade, but it doesn't always reflect in the About menu. Sometimes I have to reboot the machine several times or leave fora day. This isn't going to work for our deployment overseas. Is there a way to display the version number through the command prompt or another quick way to show the version is correct besides going to the "About" menu?
Use the Application Event log.
This event is generated whenever the scanner initializes. It records the DAT and Engine version that it is loading with.
Thank you so much for the reply. However, we don't scan right away after upgrading. Do you know if there's a way to get the version number from the cmd prompt. I'm assuming the application has a root directory and I could get the version that way?
You'll find that event after doing any DAT update.
If you want to see the data from a command prompt you could try running the CSSCAN.exe executable, found in the Common Files\McAfee\SystemCore\ folder.
