VSE 8.8 Patch 8 was scheduled for today, but AFAIK was deferred (likely to a last minute bug) at least for some days.

I too am eagerly awaiting Patch 8. We have a number of Anniversary Update machines that need to go out, but we cannot let them into the hands of users until we get a version of VSE that supports them.

HIPS 8 Patch 8 appeared yesterday (a day later than advertised!), and I've got McAfee Agent 5.0.4 already, but now need VSE 8,8 Patch 8 urgently.

Any clue on release?

Hi, AFAIK the Patch has been deferred without new release date, and McAfee plans to send out a SNS with further information.

Really annoys how they wait until 24 hours after the advertised release date to notify people that it's delayed, and then only notify by making a change to an old knowledge-base article.

I note the article still says the RTS was Aug 2nd.  How does somebody get an RTS release? We tried going via our McAfee Reseller/Vendor/Support Partner, but had no luck.

Looks like they just released Patch 8 as it know shows up under our grant number.

Looks like you have to read KB872328 and apply hotfix 1123565 and then reboot before installing VSE Patch 8. What a pain as we have a lot of servers and can't easily reboot those.

We just updated first customer to VSE 8.8 Patch 8 because we URGENTLY need Patch 8 for

TIE (Threat Exchange) to work. Some problems (False/Postive) will be solved wiht Patch 8.

Look ok from us and 30 W7/W10 and W8 mixed just did the update without Reboot.

Attention if you have HIPS in place.

Good news that VSE 8.8 P8 is finally available, my VIPs waiting for their Windows 10 1607 based machines will be pleased.

One small concern though, it seems the issue of the installation using large amounts of PC resources and taking 10-15 minutes hasn't been resolved. The PC is almost unusable while it's being installed. As soon as the install finishes, the PC returns to normal performance.  This on a Surface Pro 3, Core i5, 8GB, 256GB.
