Host IPS Patch 6 is expected on August 13th.  By comparison Windows 8 wasn't supported from the October 26, 2012 release date until June 13, 2013 when patch 3 went RTW.

iiiieks ...just realized this time lag of development too so no joy updating on windows 10 enterprise in real production doh? ... neither any product which was compatible to windows 8.1 will be offered as compatible on windows 10 enterprise either.

Will the current Agent support Patch 6 and will a new Installation Designer be required?  What are the intended release dates for the Agent and ID if a new one is required?

The current agent 5.0.1.516 seems to work ok with Windows 10/Patch 6.

Until now McAfee hasn't released the download link for me (Patch 6).

They told me 24hs on Friday... Nothing yet.

By changing SetupVSE.exe to any other name, you can setup VSE patch 5 on window 10 now, without patch 6

Hi Christran,

Installing VSE in that manner is entirely unsupported and may cause system instability. There are a number of core drivers and components that have to be validated on Windows 10. This is why Microsoft has placed the block on installation, and Intel Security is introducing a patch specifically for Windows 10 compatibility. 

If you need Windows 10 support ASAP, I strongly advise contacting support who can provide patch 6 for testing.
