VSE 8.7 Uninstall on virtual Win 2008 x64 Server

We have a few Win2008 x64 servers running on Hyper V, installation of VSE 8.7 patch1 runs fine but uninstall fails constantly. Uninstall is starting, McAfee services are stopping ... and then Uninstall rolls back and services starting again. Issue is easy to reproduce, just tested it on a fresh installed server.
Anyone else has this issue?

RE: VSE 8.7 Uninstall on virtual Win 2008 x64 Server

Logged a case at McAfee support and got a hotfix (VSE870HF496609) that solves the problem (affects all Win2008 systems with reposted 8.7 Patch 1 package installed).

Here is the answer from support:

Reported Isssue Summary
Uninstallation of VSE8.7i on a Win 2008 Server rolls back right at the end and fails.

Tier II Advise
This is a newly discovered issue with VSE8.7 P1.
When VSE8.7 uninstalls it then attempts to enable Windows Defender, which in some scenario has not been installed on the System.
From the Uninstall log you see the following error:
-------
>CustomActionSchedule(Action=EnableWindowsDefender,ActionType=3073,Sourc
>e=BinaryData,Target=EnableWin>dowsDefender,)
>MSI (s) (1C:00) [07:21:42:609]: Invoking remote custom action. DLL:
>C:\Windows\Installer\MSI6BF2.tmp, Entrypoint: >EnableWindowsDefender
>> Begin EnableWindowsDefender
>!> Could not find file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows
>Defender\MpClient.dll', error code 3
-------

An hotfix has been produced to address this issue with Defender.
Please find HotFix VSE870HF496609.zip attached to this email.

In order to install this hotfix, VSE8.7i Patch 1 must be installed first.

In my experience it only affects 64 bit W2K8.
