Unable to Start/Stop McShield

I have some standalone laptops that require manually installing VSE patches (since they do not sit on any network).  However, the last few times I have done it, I noticed that McAfee McShield has issues starting/stopping before and after I install the updated VSE.  Any thoughts as to cause?

Hello,

 

Thank you for your post on Mcafee community.

 

I suggest you run the Mcafee Endpoint removal tool, then reboot the system(you can download the EPR tool from the McAfee download site), and then try to deploy the new package of VSE and let us know the result.
