ScriptProxy Add-On in Internet Explorer 8?

I have an Add-on in IE 8 called ScriptProxy and it is disabled.

I have the ScriptScan enabled in the McAfee VSE 8.8, so if the ScriptProxy is disabled within the Add-On under Internet Explorer, will this mean that the ScriptScan will not do its job in protecting me from ActiveX related malware?

So in order for the ScriptScan function to work in the VSE 8.8, will I also have to Enable the ScriptProxy Add-On in Internet Explorer 8?

The only reason I have this Add-On disabled is that I am afraid it might slow me down.

Thanks

Re: ScriptProxy Add-On in Internet Explorer 8?

The browser add-in allows us to do exclusions of URLs.

If you were visiting certain websites and the performance was bad because of scripts being scanned, and you trust that website, you could exclude their URL.

But if the browser add-in is disabled, URL exclusions will NOT work.

ScriptScan is still working though.

Re: ScriptProxy Add-On in Internet Explorer 8?

I do not have any URL exclusions.

So will it be OK to leave the browser Add-In disabled?

And I will leave the Script Scan in VSE 8.8 enabled.

I do not have any URL exclusions listed from the McAfee VSE.

I just want to have Script Scan working.

Yes, I mentioned earlier, Scriptscan is still working.
