Retrieving VirusScan console tasks information

Jump to solution

Hello,

I'm trying to create a batch script that will check if certain tasks have been scheduled on VirusScan Enterprise 8.7.0i.

Can anyone point me towards a registry key or file from which I can extract that information?

I did find the following registry key: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\McAfee\DesktopProtection\Tasks"

but unfortunately it only contains two default tasks (auto-updater and scan hard drives) which do not interest me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Managed to find the tasks.

You can see the managed tasks configuration in "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\McAfee\Common Framework\Task" folder in *INI format.

Hope this will help anyone else who needs this information.
