Red Hat Linux 7, virus scan running, no info on virus definitions or logs

Jump to solution

Running Red Hat Enterprise 7 with McAfee Antivirus.

I am able to confirm that the daemon is running, however if I run the following command

uvscan --version

It shows:

command not found

I have the latest virus definitions installed under /usr/local/uvscan and there are no logs of what has been scanned by the McAfee.

Any ideas?

Here is the info of what McAfee is running on a RHEL7 VM.  I meant RHEL 7 VM, not RHEL6.

I know this is old but from what I've seen online, uvscan is for unix. For RHEL, we're using the McAfeeVSELForLinux.

There's 1.9 for RHEL 6 up to 2.6.32 and 2.0 if you have a RHEL kernel which supports CONFIG_FANOTIFY=y.
