Is there a knowledgebase article regarding this problem?
Is there any official statement, that this issue has been resolved?
This is confusing. I am no expert, though. Are you saying that McAfee is logging access violations allegedly performed by its own software?
This is not happening on my machine. I cannot speak for others on our network.Message was edited by: lowlyenduser on 4/8/10 8:00:05 AM CDT
As reported by EPO - yes. Sample excerpt from one:
C:\\Program Files\\McAfee\\VirusScan Enterprise\\VsTskMgr.exe \\REGISTRY\\MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\McAfee\\AVEngine\\AVDatVersion hip.registry Common Standard Protection:Prevent modification of McAfee Scan Engine files and settings
I see. It looks similar to Christopher Hill's issue. Maybe there remains a problem that we aren't seeing here.
I see this thread is marked as "answered." I don't see a way to change that. It might be more effective to start another thread if there are still problems.
Just to say in response to the most recent messages that I haven't seen any issues even with naPrdMgr.exe on our systems since the referenced BOF/DAT update. However I will continue to monitor it & post here if they do occur.
