Not recognized trojan by VirusScan

we have a trojan in a customer network, over 250 machines (PCs & servers) infected and encrypted.

We have to decide a change, trying another software/ manufactorer.

Why did VirusScan didn't recognize it?

Thank you for reaching out to the Mcafee community with your query.

The malicious file may be a newer file of its form, maybe Mcafee is not aware of this file or its hash value.

I suggest you log a ticket with Mcafee support on and someone from Mcafee will contact you to assist you further with your query.

You can also refer to the below article to take action to protect the system against malicious activity.
