McAfee agent on Windows 8.1 Update 1

Hi,

I would like to know if anybody knows when will McAfee Agent 4.8 be compatible with Windows 8.1 Update 1.

On the matrix page for McAfee Agent (https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB7753) it only says that for Windows 8.1, McAfee Agent 4.8 Patch 1 is the minimum supported version. But it does not say anything about not the Windows 8.1 Update 1 flavor, it only mentions "Windows 8.1".

On the VSE side, it's much clearer. From the VSE support matrix page (https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB51111), it says that "Support for Windows 8.1 Update 1 will be provided by means of a VSE 8.8 hotfix, expected to be released in June 2014". That's clear, we must unfortunately wait until June...

So my question is: is the Agent already compatible with Windows 8.1 Update 1 or must we wait until June or December for a new patch?

Try it and see!

It works for me on Windows 8.1 Update 1 and Windows 2012R2 Update 1.

It probably works, but that does not mean that it can't cause problems.

I've seen this in the past, when it was not supported, that it caused problems only on a few machines.

I'm looking here for an official info from McAfee.
