McAfee VirusScan 8.8i on Dell Venue Pro 11 Tablet

Jump to solution

We have over 24 Dell Venue Pro 11 tablets and am wondering if it McAfee VirusScan 8.8i will work on them or if it advisable to use or not. Has anyone tried VSE 8.8i on a tablet?

The systems spec are Intel !3-4020Y 1.5ghz processor, 128GB SSD, 4GB RAM.

Each system is running a full version of Windows 8.1 64 bit.

Yes, it works fine on the Venue.

Don't try Drive Encryption on them, though, the onscreen keyboard doesn't work at boot time.

Dell's promising an updated BIOS soon.

Thanks for the response. It is our university library that has purchased 25 of these tablets to use in one of the classrooms. I will get the IT admin over there to install the ePO agent so that I can remotely deploy the virus software.
