There is likely another process you may need to exclude. Reach out to the vendor of the Backup Software you use, for a full list of exclusions you need to set. This looks like quite a good post: https://www.veritas.com/content/support/en_US/article.100004864
Make sure you are utilising the low/ high risk processes and are defining the processes as low risk processes, with scanning disabled. If you put the .exe files in your default processes exclusions, they will be treated as file exclusions and not as process exclusions.

I had searched for that paper about recommended exceptions but didn't find it, thanks, now it's working fine.
