McAfee Engine support & KB66741

Jump to solution

Is there anyone out there who provide a little more clarity around this KB article?

https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB66741

EOL for the 5400 Scan engine is slated for Q4 2013 and it's the ???last engine to support Windows 2000??? but a little further down it states

Anti-Malware Engine EOL on Microsoft Windows 2000

McAfee announces the upcoming End Of Support (EOS) and EOL date for McAfee Anti-Virus Scanning Engine for Microsoft Windows 2000. The Anti-Virus Scanning Engine and DATs will no longer support Microsoft Windows 2000 from 31 December 2014 onwards.

Is this a typo ??2013 instead of 2014?? or will the Engine/DATs continue to work for a year after the EOL?
