Low Risk Processes in VSE Identification

Jump to solution

Guys, I understand the purpose of low risk processes in VSE. That said, is the process identified purely on name i..e if I add a process name myproc.exe as a low risk process via policy will that apply to any process with that name even ones created by other people (and potentially other entities such as malware). Can a process be defined with an explicit path or digital signature ?

Hi @shocko

Many thanks for posting on the Community.

You are indeed correct and I'm afraid with VSE this is a limitation. I would suggest looking at using ENS instead as in this newer product you can specify the full path of the process.

Was my reply helpful?
