We have started configuring our ePO policies to use DAT Reputation. According to the roll-out phase, the common updater DAT was supposed to contain the DAT Reputation files effective May 6th. I have noticed that on todays DAT 7795, it shows a "Last Reputation Status" of Unknown. It showed yesterdays DAT 7794 as Good. What is going on and what does this mean. There is a severe lack of documentation with this feature.
Moved provisionally to ePO for faster response.

On 2nd thoughts VirusScan Enterprise is a better spot.

Technically it's not a VSE feature either. DAT Reputation is its own beast, but the implementation of it is instrumented via the DATs (a kin to Artemis) - if we have a forum for DATs then that is where this should go.

Interesting, there isn't one so I'm asking the powers that be for this Community.
To hazard a guess, it would simply mean "No status has been obtained yet".
Trying to display that status in a single/small term is challenging.
McAfee DAT reputation status numbers:
0 – Good
1 – Bad
2 - Bad and rollback
3 - Failed to connect
4 - DAT reputation lookup failed
5 - DAT reputation lookup
6 - Unknown
Thanks for all your responses. I have opened a support case and am waiting a resolution from McAfee.
I am seeing this as well in my logs. Could you update this posting if/when you find the solution? Thanks!
Hi
do you got any response or solution from McAfee for the case?
