cgray518,
I 'd suggest that do not disable VSe, just add exclusion here and then try installing drivers for this printer.
1.Look for the process that is being blocked by Access protection in its log file>Right click McAfee icon>Right click Access Protection>View log
2.Note the Process (I'm assuming it would be unwanted programe here)
3.Open VSE console
4.Right click "unwanted Programes Policy
5.Click Exclusions>Add
6.Click Browse and add the complete path of the process which is being blocked.
7.click OK,
Note:Follow the VSE log file and made the right exclusion.
Doesn't that also depend on how the av is installed? I forgot what it's called but there is a normal mode install and a high security mode install where the av does some extra stuff to protect your system and it even says during the install if you install in the high security mode you may have trouble installing software and need to disable your av to do so.
Thank you all for your feedback. I contacted HP and they assisted me with installation WITHOUT disabling McAfee. So seems this really is not necessary although may be required under rare circumstance.
This issue is now resolved.
Thanks again!
