Hi all
I want to know what is McAfee VSE Scenario for updates
actually my question is about how a client computer can update from EPO
I mean that the client have to receive complete package from EPO every time (that is approximately 100 MB) or it is not like this always?
i will appreciate if any one can answer my question
thanks

McAfee KnowledgeBase - FAQs for V2 DAT files
When a DAT updates, it will only do an incremental update, so that bandwidth usage is as minimal as possible. While the full DAT is around 100mb, the incremental updates are only usually a few hundred k. However, if the DAT is too far out of date, it will download the entire thing again.

Thanks for your help
As you said if the DAT file is too far out of date then VSE will download the full DAT like 100 MB, What do you mean by "too far out of date " ?
We all know that there will be 35 .gem files and before downloading the incremental DAT will it validate between 35 gem files and if it couldn't find files between 35 then it goes for full 100 MB file download. (OR) Is there a different number of gem files which it will validate and goes for full 100 mb DAT update instead of several Kb's ?
Your response on this will e appreciated.
