HBSS VSE 8.8 Exclusions

I just want to make sure I do this right so if there are any links that can be sent to me or whatever that would be great.

1. I need to install VSE 8.8 onto my servers and I want to make sure the correct exclusions are put into place and in the right policy. And are there any other things that should be checked in the policy.

2. The exclusions would include for (SQL, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Exchange 2010, SCCM, SUS, whatever on DC should be exempt and Retina)

3. Also for Symantec Backup Exec 2010 R3

Every vendor makes recommandations for their software in regards to antivirus scanning.
