One of my client use McAfee Enterprise Ver 8.0i Anti virus and today as he updated the antiviurs it has deleted one of his import exe file from program files, when he tried to run this program, a virus message is invoked,  and show this exe file is deleted, why it is, while that it is not a virus file.

How, I will exclude these files to prevent delete, please guide me.

Thanks,

Hi Azam,

Moving this thread to enterprise section, where our Enterprise mods would be helping you on the same.

Thanks,

Re: Exe files has been deleted from program files.

Are you sure you're still using 8.0i ? This is a rather old version of virusscan enterprise. Is could be possible that it generate false alerts when new dats and an old product release. I'm aware that the EOL status of 8.0i end at march 2010, so it should work.

Could you update to v 8.5 or 8.7 ?

Re: Exe files has been deleted from program files.

Which operating system you are using?

Do you have the log files?

Can you share them.

For now you can restore from Quarantine folder.

Try 8.7.0 i + Patch 2, its really powerful and much better than previous products.
