Deploying VSE using ePO not working on Windows 2003

Jump to solution

Windows 2003  Service Pack 2
ePO version 5.3.2

VSE 8.8.0.1528

MA 5.0.3.362

We can install VSE manually by moving the package to the clien using sftp.  Clients are  communicating fine with the ePO server.

We can see from the  Agent console downloading the  package, but won't kick off installation.  No errors in the log .

Since we have over 400 Windows 2003 servers that we need to install VSE, Manual installation is not an option.

I'd suggest it is the versions you are trying to use.

We support a legacy Citrix farm that we inherited with a customer, the Xenapp servers are all running 2003 R2 is 5.0.2.188 and I had to do some extensive testing on workable versions on this OS.

Agent: 5.0.2.188
VSE Client: 8.8.0.1445 (Patch 6)

Please review KB51111, kc.mcafee.com. Win 2003 is no longer a supported OS.

Alternatively you could install VSE standalone installer manually on the servers. Once VSE completes install, periodically McAfee agent will communicate with epo and policies will automatically get adjusted.

In case above information was useful or answered your question, please select "Accept as Solution" in my reply, or give a Kudo. Thanks!
