I have an issue on VirusScan Enterprise 8.8 where the AutoUpdate for the DAT versions is saying 'The Update succeeded' everyday, however when looking at the DAT version; it is out of date from the last time I manually updated it with the installer. Could this be a corrupt DAT file?
I have checked Task Scheduler and we have a McAfee update .bat to run mcupdate.exe everyday at 8am; but this does not seem to be updating.
Does the Auto-Update update the software and a service updates the DAT version?
It's unlikely to be an broken DAT causing the issue however there are far too many reasons this could be failing, and it could be either a Virusscan or McAfee Agent issue. I would strongly recommend you raise a Service Request and attach an MER of this machine for our analysis.
